When a user replies, is their message distributed to the list, or
does it come only to the moderator?  Does the sender address appear
to be the sender, or does it appear as listname-owner?

Without additional information, I have to assume you are on the
right track with moderate and restrict_post.

moderate=yes

restrict_post = my email address

what am I doing wrong to any replies to be approved first??
